We are excited to announce that client Davis Jones has signed with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL, proud ECHL affiliate of the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Rochester Americans and the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Buffalo Sabres, for the 2017-18 season.

Jones had a great senior season with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks hockey team. Playing in 20 games, posting a 6-11-4 record, and leading the Nanooks in saves (562), shots (616), save percentage (.912) and goals against average (2.72), Jones became the Nanook’s first senior to sign a professional contract.

This season Jones played a career-high with 48 saves and earned the team’s only shutout of the year. He was then named to the Western Collegiate Hockey Association All-Academic Team and was awarded the WCHA Defensive Player of the Week on January 15.

“Davis played very well for us this season and had earned an opportunity to move his hockey career to the next level. Davis prepared and showed up to the rink every day like a professional. He is extremely committed to the process and I’m happy he is getting this opportunity.” – Alaska head coach Dallas Ferguson
